Ottoniel Chavajay is a Tzu'Tujil Maya artist who was was born in San Pedro La Laguna,  Guatemala in 1976. He is a talented artist working in the "naive" style of painting.  He began painting in 1991, and is actively working today.   A version of his painting, "Harvesting Corn" was used as the cover art for the Penguin Classics edition of the book Men of Maize, by Nobel Prize winning author Miguel Angel Asturias.
