I will be out of the country for about six weeks, from May 1st to June 17th, and so will not be shipping orders or open for visitors at the gallery. The Indigo Arts website will be active as always. Because I will be traveling in a very remote area I will not have email access for most of the time. I will respond to emails as soon as possible. A legendary sign painter from the Mossi people, Rasmané was born in 1946 in the town of Sapomé, 140 km from Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso (then Upper Volta). He sometimes used the initails NRD, for his family name, Nikéma, his name Rasmané, followed by his profession, "Dessinateur". During his painting career he produced work in Togo and the Ivory Coast as well as Burkina Faso.
