We are pleased to announce that the Twins Seven-Seven masterpiece, The Flying Snake Dog Flying Over the Red Skulls has found a place in the permanent collection of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

I just visited Red Hook, Brooklyn to see the show at Pioneer Works, PÒTOPRENS: The Urban Artists of Port-au-Prince.  To those fellow lovers of Haitian art, Outsider and those just willing to challenge their eyes, I highly recommend it.  Here's some of the show description:  

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the great Oaxacan artist Fernando Olivera.

Fernando was born in the city of Oaxaca in 1962 and passed away yesterday, June 5th, 2018. He studied at the school of Bellas Artes at the Benito Juárez University in Oaxaca with the Japanese/Mexican master Shinzaburo Takeda, and taught there for many years himself.

Yoruba master indigo dyer and batik artist Gasali Adeyemo,returned to Indigo Arts for a trunk show on May 19th.  Gasali, who taught an indigo dyeing workshop here in 2012, brought his exquisite "adire eleko" indigo fabrics, plus silk and rayon batik scarves and shawls and one of a kind T-shirts.
