While still in his thirties, a relatively young age for an established artist, Yves Telemak became a prominent member of the famous "Bel-Air school" of flag-makers.
Doubtless the most spectacular Haitian art form is the sequin-covered Drapo Vodou or "Voodoo Flag".

The title comes from the traditional Haitian Kreyol call and response greeting. “Onè!" calls the greeter, meaning "honor!" The response is "Respè!" - "respect".
