In the K'iche' Mayan language, "Ajitz" (also spelled "Aj'itz") primarily means shaman, healer, wizard, or holy man, according to the Kaleidoscopic Path Wiki. It can also refer to the spirit of a deified shaman, particularly in the context of the Dance of the Conquest. In some contexts, it might also be associated with "bad witch" or even planet Mercury, though these are less common interpretations, according to the K'iche' - English Dictionary.
