I will be out of the country for about six weeks, from May 1st to June 17th, and so will not be shipping orders or open for visitors at the gallery. The Indigo Arts website will be active as always. Because I will be traveling in a remote area I will not have email or phone access for most of the time. I will respond to messages as soon as possible. About the Artist

Joseph Louis-Juste

Joseph LOUISJUSTE was born in Croix des Bouquets in 1940. The youngest of the Louisjuste brothers, he started to sculpt with Georges Liautaud in the sixties. Members of Le Centre d’Art since 1968, he and his brothers contributed to the spread of the "fer découpé" cut metal technique. They had many students, including, among others, Gabriel Bien-Aimé and Serge Jolimeau. Joseph LOUISJUSTE passed away in 1989.

Internationally exhibited in such places as the Frost Museum and the Grand Palais, his works are also part of the permanent collections at the Huntington Museum of Art, the Lowe Museum, the Waterloo Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum and Le Centre d’Art.
