Indigo Arts Gallery celebrates the artistic genius and the indomitable spirit of the Haitian people, with a continually changing collection of Haitian paintings. We fell in love with the art and people of Haiti on our first visit over thirty years ago. While our focus is on artists actively working today, we also have a stock of paintings from the 50's through the 90's that we have collected in Haiti over the years or acquired from estates and collections. A sampling of the artists we may carry includes: Montas Antoine, Seymour Bottex, Gerald Bruny, Gelin Buteau, Wilmino Domond, Gervais Emmanuel Ducasse, Préfète Duffaut, Gerard Fortuné, Jacques Enguerrand Gourgue, Alexandre Gregoire, Guyodo (Frantz Jacques), Gabriel Leveque, Dieuseul Paul, Gerard Paul, Manno Paul, Prosper Pierre-Louis, Denis Smith, Louisiane St. Fleurant, Pierre-Joseph Valcin, Julien Valery, Jacques Valmidor and Wagler Vital.
Note:
With the high cost of shipping many of our customers choose to ship by USPS. For small and light shipments this is usually less expensive, but please be aware that their estimates are often wrong and their service can be very slow (sixteen days for Priority Mail from Philadelphia to New York City recently). The service is not always as economical as it may appear, particularly on larger or more valuable shipments. USPS estimates only include insurance up to $100 for its domestic shipments. If you ask for full insurance we will recalculate the shipping cost and send you an invoice for any difference in cost. For overseas shipments USPS will not insure for over $650. On request we can get estimates for overseas shipping from DHL.
